The Boston Calling music festival started off as a small indie festival in 2013 and quickly grew to attract a record number of attendees at the Harvard Athletic Complex in 2018. As a result, their networking and WiFi needs grew significantly. BSN strategized with the production company’s new partners, the Madison Square Garden Group, to deploy its first-ever high-density attendee WiFi platform in addition to supporting its back-of-house staff. Not an easy task, yet the project was executed flawlessly with no issues reported. In addition, BSN’s WiFi infrastructure allowed faster credit card processing times, leading to increased beverage and merchandise sales.
The BLAST Pro Series, known as “the world’s most explosive esports event,” featured a $250,000 price pool and competitors from all over the world. BSN provided a very high-end, robust data networking infrastructure supporting multiple Gigabit and 10Gigabit links, application controls, security controls and extensive cabled infrastructure. Additionally, the BSN team supported ever-important live streaming for the event and deployed WiFi systems for production staff.
Sponsored by the University of Maryland, the Bitcamp Hackathon is a three-day event held at Comcast Arena in College Park, Maryland. BSN deployed attendee WiFi for 2,000 student hackers, plus WiFi to support staff and sponsors. The engagement also included wired drops for a total of 1,000 devices.

BSN designed, deployed and managed a complex data networking and WiFi infrastructure for an MIT event at the historic Wang Theater in Boston, MA. In addition to needing access for production and back-of-house users, MIT was presenting live a unique application that had all attendees playing musical instruments simultaneously on their phones which required integrating Cisco AVS, Akamai Connect with Amazon AWS and Cloudfront to ensure optimal performance for the attendees. Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is a three-day festival in Las Vegas with more than 400,000 attendees over the three day festival. BSN was tasked to provide managed internet, networking and WiFi systems for 10 shuttle locations all around the infamous Las Vegas strip, some of which were miles apart from each other.
